Outsourcing has been a widely debated topic for a while now. As an industry, there are many pros and cons to outsourcing. However, my experience as a single mom working at Boldr has completely changed my perspective. Here is a quick look at some of the main reasons why Boldr goes beyond traditional outsourcing.

At Boldr, we focus on impact sourcing, a term that refers to the practice of providing job opportunities to people in communities that lack access to formal higher education. Boldr’s approach to outsourcing has shown me that it can become a powerful tool for making a positive impact in the world.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between talented people in underdeveloped countries and businesses in developed countries. We believe that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to earn a living and achieve their full potential. This is why we work closely with local organizations in communities to identify individuals with the skills and drive to succeed in the digital economy, regardless of their background. By providing them with work opportunities, we are helping to create a more equitable and inclusive global economy, while addressing the needs of our clients.

Ethical outsourcing or outsourcing with a conscience was a new concept I was introduced to at Boldr. Outsourcing in general has a negative reputation in the United States. Some people can perceive it as foreigners stealing American jobs. And when there is a recession, Americans hone in on outsourcing as the key result of local unemployment.

I had a moral dilemma when I accepted this job. I went from working with the Department of Defense to working for an outsourcing company. It felt like the opposite spectrum. I went from finding jobs for American citizens, to finding jobs for foreigners. It took me a while to admit to people what industry I worked in because of the judgment I would get. Once I was able to articulate the good we do with our impact initiatives, I stopped getting those negative reactions.

I now give a little elevator speech about how we operate differently and all the resultant good that we do.

I love that we are paying living wages in countries that have historically been denied access to work opportunities. I love the connections I’ve made and that my best friends now live in other countries. I love learning about the cultural differences in each region. I love seeing how much we help the community and that people get excited to participate in Impact projects. I’ve never worked at a place where they did so much good for the world.

And it’s why I have become so passionate about what we do. I want to help my colleagues and acquaintances in the United States to understand what ethical outsourcing is. It’s not about stealing American jobs. It’s about improving the world we live in by changing the way people are treated.

Another aspect that sets Boldr apart, is our focus on community development. We understand that providing job opportunities is just the first step towards making a difference in the world. That’s why we also invest in the communities we serve by providing training and support to help our team members grow and succeed in their careers. By working with local organizations to help address some of the social and economic challenges faced by these communities, we were able to experience the true impact of doing good. We not only want to connect people to opportunities, but we want to uplift communities, which will ultimately create a more equitable and regenerative world.

As a single mom who has risen to my current rank without a college education, I strongly believe that everyone deserves the same shot at success. This is why I’m so passionate about Boldr’s successes as an ethical outsourcing company. The level of skill and dedication I have seen in the individuals we work with is simply amazing. They are incredibly talented and motivated, and they are making a positive impact in their communities and on the world at large. The fact that they are given the opportunity to work and earn a living wage despite not having access to formal higher education is truly inspiring.

My two years at Boldr have profoundly altered my perception of what I thought the outsourcing industry was all about. Boldr’s approach to ethical outsourcing, its aspirations of empowering individuals through impact sourcing, and its focus on community development, is a true game-changer in the world of outsourcing. I am proud to be a part of Boldr’s mission to make earning a living wage a reality for people all over the world.
